Bob Uecker celebrates 50 years

A fitting note to resume blogging is the celebration of Bob Uecker's 50 years in the game of Baseball. Despite the fact that the Brewers are being whipped by the Braves in front of a sell-our crowd tonight as has often happened during my years of spectating, I can still grin and bear loss after loss to due to the charming and mordant wit of Bob Uecker. Many a time I have simply turned down the television or just turned it off so I could sympathize with a true fan even if it's only a voice. Countless nights I have spent driving and listening to "Mr. Baseball" all over our great state. I suspect that when the Brewers lose Bob Uecker I may lose my sanity. Oh well, another losing season. As Bob would say, "Spring Hopes Eternal."
